All Erection celebrates double delivery on Manitowoc booth

4/1/2011 Las Vegas, Nevada, United States

U.S. rental giant All Erection & Crane Rental Corp. celebrated its two latest purchases on the Manitowoc booth at CONEXPO 2011. Representatives from both companies marked the company’s investment in a Manitowoc 16000 crawler crane with wind attachment and a Grove GMK6300L all-terrain crane.

Dave Hull, Manitowoc senior vice president of sales in North America, said Manitowoc was proud to feature the All Erection cranes on its booth.

“We are very proud to display these latest Manitowoc purchases from All Erection,” he said. “Their sale reflects the long-standing and continuing partnership between our two companies.”

The 440 USt Manitowoc 16000 purchased by All Erection is the 17th in the company’s fleet, and the newly developed wind attachment, which All also purchased, is its second. The Model 16000 and its wind attachment will allow the crane to place 2.5 MW turbines on 80 m towers. This crane will go from CONEXPO to a wind farm development.

The 350 USt Grove GMK6300L purchased by Central Crane Rental Service, an All Erection company, is the first in the U.S. It has a main boom of 262 ft, the longest in its class. The crane was introduced last year, and the first units are with customers such as Central Crane, undergoing Manitowoc’s Pre-Production Partnership program. PPP companies provide valuable feedback on new cranes in the field, which the company uses to develop final production models.
