    Tiong Woon adds Grove GMK6300L-1 to its fleet

    Tiong Woon Crane & Transport recently added a Grove GMK6300L-1 to its fleet and has deployed it to lift replacement parts at Shell Jurong Island, Shell’s largest refinery in the Asia-Pacific region. Tiong Woon is the first to take delivery of a Grove GMK6300L-1 all-terrain mobile telescopic crane in Southeast Asia.

    Manitowoc unveils Grove GRT8120 rough-terrain crane and plans to show four additional Grove cranes at CONEXPO 2020

    Manitowoc Cranes has unveiled its latest rough-terrain crane: the Grove GRT8120. It is the latest in the GRT line of rough-terrain cranes that have grown in popularity due to their reliability and versatility on job sites. It will be on display at CONEXPO 2020 in March, and it’s one of six brand-new cranes that the company is introducing at the show, along with several others making their North American debuts.

    Potain launches the MRH 175 tower crane, will focus on high-rise and homebuilding sectors at CONEXPO 2020

    Potain has announced the new MRH 175 tower crane, a new hydraulic luffing jib crane that will make its debut at CONEXPO 2020. It’s one of two Potain cranes that will be on display at the Manitowoc booth during the show, where the company plans to showcase the latest in lifting technology for two of the busiest sectors in the built environment: high-rise construction and homebuilding. The other crane on show will be the Hup M 28-22 that was introduced in 2019 and is making its North American debut, complete with a new transport axle for the regional market. Both cranes can be found on the Manitowoc booth, #F6144, in the festival lot, near the corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.

    Six Potain cranes assist in construction of Ušće Tower 2 in Belgrade

    Six Potain cranes are helping in the construction of Ušće Tower 2 in Belgrade, Serbia. Located along the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers, the new, luxurious skyscraper is being built next to the historic Ušće Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Serbia that was seriously damaged by air-strikes in 1999, during the Yugoslav War. The Ušće Tower 2 will have a height of 104 m – 22 floors – and house modern office spaces and a restaurant on the top floor.

    Potain MD 3200 crane expedites dam project in British Columbia, Canada

    A Potain MD 3200 MAXI tower crane is helping with the construction of the Site C Clean Energy Project — a third dam and hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River in British Columbia (B.C.), Canada. The massive crane, which is the largest Potain crane to ever be used in North America, is working on the Generating Station and Spillways (GSS) Civil Works portion of Site C. When completed, the dam will be the province's fourth largest producer of electricity.
